Back Stitch

Back Stitches:

In back stitch the individual stitches are done backwards to the regular direction. These are basically used for outline shapes. It can also be used to put emphasis to some certain area in an embroidery project. Step by step instructions for doing back stitch is explained below.

The Process:

  1. Pull out the threaded needle through the fabric.
  2. Poke in through a point lying back to the first point.
  3. Pull out the needle through a point lying forward to the starting point.
  4. Then Poke into the first point.
  5. Continue the process.
